Urgent Eye Care
When something doesn’t feel right, we’re here to help
Eye problems can happen unexpectedly. If you develop a red, sore or painful eye, sudden changes to your vision, or something gets into your eye, it’s important to have it assessed promptly.
At Eyes of Bright, our optometrists can assess and manage many urgent eye conditions, helping you get the right care without unnecessary delay.
We can help with:
- Red, sore or irritated eyes
- Eye infections and inflammation
- Foreign bodies, including metal, dust and other debris
- Scratched or injured eyes
- Sudden changes or loss of vision
- New flashes or floaters
- Eye pain or light sensitivity
- Chemical exposure
- Persistent watering or discharge
- Other unexpected eye or vision concerns
Foreign body removal
If you have something lodged in your eye — particularly metal, dust or debris from grinding, drilling or working outdoors — don’t wait for it to become more uncomfortable.
Our optometrists have the equipment and expertise to examine the eye closely, safely remove many foreign bodies and assess for any associated damage or infection.
Sudden changes to your vision
Some eye symptoms require particularly prompt attention. Sudden vision loss, a significant increase in flashes or floaters, a curtain or shadow across your vision, severe eye pain, or an eye injury should not be ignored.
Contact us as soon as possible so we can advise you on the most appropriate next step. If your condition requires specialist or emergency medical treatment, we can arrange an appropriate referral.
